Langa voni
A three-piece south Indian dress: a long skirt, a blouse and a half-length scarf called a voni or davani.
Also: half saree, half-saree, langa davani, pavadai davani, lehenga voni
The langa voni is a dress for girls and young women in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The langa is the long skirt, the voni (or davani in Kannada and Tamil) is a scarf about two and a half metres long, pinned at the shoulder and wrapped over the skirt like a short pallu, and the blouse goes with them. It is called a half saree because it is a smaller form of the saree. A girl is often given one in a coming-of-age ceremony, and she moves to a full saree later.
