What is worn for Gangaur

Gangaur is the festival of Gauri, a form of Parvati, kept in Rajasthan after Holi and ending on the third day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra. Unmarried girls pray for a good husband and married women for their husband's long life. Clay images of Gauri and Isar (Shiva) are made at home and worshipped for up to eighteen days, and on the last day women carry them in processions through the streets to a pond or well. Women wear bright bandhani or leheriya sarees and lehengas, with the full set of jewellery, and decorate their hands with henna. The processions in Jaipur and Udaipur are the best known.
